VictimConnect

The VictimConnect Resource Center (VCRC) is an anonymous and confidential hotline and online resource map for all victims of crimes in the United States and its territories. With extensive specialized training, our Victim Assistance Specialists stand ready to help crime victims navigate the physical, emotional, legal, and financial consequences of crime. Visitors will receive:

  • Emotional support and advocacy
  • Information about systems, safety and rights
  • Support crafting next steps to regain control over their lives
  • Access to referrals tailored to the visitor’s needs

Here are sample resources and other service providers across the country that highlight innovative approaches and best practices in post-conviction victim support. While some of these services may be geographically inaccessible for crime victims and survivors, we want to elevate agencies doing impactful work, share effective strategies, and inspire implementation for other service providers.

This spotlight offers an opportunity to learn from successful models in different jurisdictions, as well as gives an idea of where crime victims and survivors can go to find services, support, and information after a conviction.
